What is the Web Series World Cup and how does it work?

The WSWC is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to supporting and promoting serialized short form programs.

Created in 2015 by Joel Bassaget, the WSWC collects results from member web fests around the world and regularly publishes rankings of the most awarded web series. Programs get points for selections, nominations and awards from our member festivals. At the end of each season the WSWC crowns the most awarded programs.

Starting in 2026, each festival in our cup agrees to a Code of Ethics to guide decision making at their festivals. This helps ensure that each festival is creator-focused, fair, and equitable to all creators and projects.

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate your work, submit to each of these festivals for the best chance to increase your WSWC rank!
